The Town of Clarkson Water Improvement Benefit Area No. 1
February 1, 2025 Update
The Town’s engineers, MRB Group, provided the following update:
– As of January 17th, the Contractor has installed approximately 31,000 linear feet of water main along portions of Drake Road, Redman Road, and Monroe Orleans County Line Road.
– The schedule below outlines the remainder of the water main installation for the project.

– Restoration of the areas disturbed during construction will occur after the attached schedule as the weather allows and should be completed by the end of May 2025.

Eligibility
Nominees must reside in one of the following areas:
- Village of Brockport
- Town of Sweden
- Town of Clarkson
Individuals and organizations are welcome to submit nominations, including self-nominations.
About the Award
Established in 2012, this annual award honors the late Monika W. Andrews, a dedicated Brockport resident. The award recognizes individuals who demonstrate outstanding leadership in volunteer work by undertaking innovative activities or creating significant new ways to serve the greater Brockport community.
Winners are selected by a committee with representatives appointed by each of the three municipalities. A trust fund ensures winners receive cash awards in recognition of their contributions.

The Clarkson Town Hall is a drop-off location for the Pirate Toy Fund! Donations accepted until December 23rd
The Pirate Toy Fund is the only nonprofit organization in the country that supplies new toys year-round to agencies that bring aid and comfort to thousands of children in need throughout the Greater Rochester region. Co-Founded by local children’s entertainer, Gary the Happy Pirate and Dave and Lorrie Simonetti, the Pirate Toy Fund has distributed over 500,000 toys since 1995 and continues to actively pursue new avenues to expand its mission. The founders were inspired by the extraordinary life of Christie Simonetti; special friend to Gary and daughter of Dave and Lorrie.
Applications are now being accepted for Seymour Library Board of Trustees. The volunteer trustee will represent the Town of Clarkson starting January 2025 for a 5-year term. The October 19th Town Board special budget meeting has been cancelled.

The Monroe County Water Authority (MCWA) has provided the following information regarding Sign-up Sessions for the Water Improvement Benefit Area #1 (WIBA#1) project:

The Water Authority is offering informal, open-house format Sign-up Sessions at the Town Courthouse for eligible residents. These sessions allow residents to meet in person, ask questions, and make payments.
